The biannual Rolex Fastnet Race is one of the worlds classic offshore races. The 608 mile course takes you along the South coast of England, out past Lands End towards the Fastnet Rock Lighthouse, off the coast of Ireland. The return leg to Plymouth via Bishops Rock is just as challenging and exciting as your final race position will still be very much up for grabs.

Impression Sailing focuses on the sailing, not the blurb, as such our fleet of privately owned boats are maintained to a far higher standard than many company-owned charter boats. Having the right boat, right sails and right equipment is crucial in a challenging and extreme race like the Fastnet. Included within Impression Sailings fleet of race prepared 40.7s are the three leading boats in the country.

Impression Sailing are pleased to offer a variety of options for those looking to race in the 2009 Fastnet. All of our packages include the following as a minimum, but please contact us for full details of what our programmes include:

Race prepared Beneteau 40.7
• Training weekend
• 3 x RORC qualifying races
• Fastnet Race
• Team jackets for the entire crew.
• All necessary safety equipment

• Prices for 2009 Fastnet Campaign are available on request

The Fastnet Race itself is the culmination of a programme which involves an exciting series of RORC qualifying races that ensure each crew has completed a minimum of 300 nautical mile of RORC racing and are capable of handling the challenging conditions that the Fastnet Race can produce.

All of our boats are specified to MCA Cat2 safety standards. Each will be complete with liferaft, EPIRB, storm sails and all personal safety equipment for the entire crew.
